Hoo, BOY! That Story Trailer...was AWESOME! There are Sooo many features, secrets, and tidbits that warranted the creation of this article. Without further ado, let's dive in!

1. A Release Date, at Long Last!
The Story Trailer for Sonic Frontiers has shown us a CONFIRMED release date matching up with the one accidentally revealed by Sega's Japanese Youtube channel hours prior to this trailer. The release date is November 8th, 2022 - 1 DAY before Sony's massively anticpated God of War: Ragnarok.
2. A Role Reversal (of sorts)
Remember when Amy rescued Sonic from Prison Island in Sonic Adventure 2? I do. Now, in one of the cutscenes, a serious Sonic approaches an imprisoned Amy enclosed in a cybernetic red spherical prison. My, how the tables of turned back to their point of origin, have they?

3. Behold the TRUE... Power of the BlazBlue!

In this impressive CGI cutscene screenshot, Sonic is being weakened/possessed by a Red-black digital AI-effect. It is remarkably reminiscent of Ragna's Blazblue-induced Berserk state at the end of Blazblue: Chronophantasma. It is shown that this AI-induced power/pain is what allows Sonic to enter Cyberspace levels.
4. Combat Arenas return after their "Appearance" in Sonic Boom

Combat arenas Re-appear after their absence in Sonic Forces (AFAIK). These have been refined since Sonic Lost World and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric's implementation of them was to simply lock you in one area, and throw a LOT of enemies at you, and in Lost World's case, make you defeat all enemies while dealing with a ever-decreasing time limit per level (at least in the 3ds version).
In this game, since Sonic's playstyle is about Combat and platforming, the arena throws Just one - maybe up to two - strong midboss-level enemies at you in an enclosed area. The stone-wielding samurai-like robot is one such robot the game's various biomes will throw at players.
5. 5 Different Islands = 5 People to Rescue?

There are FIVE different Biomes within the mysterious Starfall Islands. There's Kronos Island, Ares Island, and 3 more yet to be named. But, there's 7 Chaos Emeralds... so where's the corresponding remaining two islands? Hmmm.....
6. Two Types of Seeds
There's two types of Seeds in this game: The Red Seed of Power, and the Blue Seed of Defense. These can be used to boister Sonic's offense and defense abilities. They're available in-game, but can also be acquired early on as a Pre-order bonus for pre-ordering the game.
CONCLUSION
And, that's it. That's all the info and tidbits I could gleam from this game's Story Trailer. Got any info that I missed? Let me know via Twitter at @BryanApplegate5.
